Dear Patients,

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months and all of us look forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: Our commitment to your safety. As most of you know, Governor Northam has lifted the order on May 1st for non-emergent care so that dentists and physicians are able to resume elective treatment for our patients. However, we have made the decision to remain closed except for emergent care. We anticipate opening closer to the lifting of the “stay at home” order, June 10th.

Our main goal has always been to protect the health of our patients, our team, and our community. We stay current with our infection control procedures and follow infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association(ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), However, we agree with our scientists that these guidelines do not adequately protect our patients and team from contracting or spreading the COVID 19 Virus, due to the high volume of droplets and aerosols that are produced in the air during most dental procedures.

To ensure the safety of our office we are in the process of installing protective equipment that effectively removes the droplets and aerosols and significantly reduces the risk of infection. Safety measures in our office will evolve as more information develops. We will continue to send you updates regarding reopening. We will be in the office Monday through Thursday from 9am-1pm to take your phone calls.

Please take good care and stay healthy!

Kind regards,

Robert Korman, DDS
