Dr. Robert Korman has maintained an esthetically-focused restorative practice in Virginia Beach, Virginia for over 25 years. He is a clinician, educator, lecturer and published author.
In 2003, he received advanced cosmetic training at Louisiana State University, a prominent teaching center for Cosmetic Dentistry. In 1995, Dr. Korman earned both his Fellowship (FAGD) and Mastership (MAGD) through the Academy of General Dentistry at the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry, an achievement only 1% of dentists in the country have attained. In 1993, he completed a residency program at the University of Florida to complete specialized training in Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction and Myofacial pain. In 1982, he completed another dental residency program at the Veterans Administration Medical Center and Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. In 1982, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University and received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland in 1978.
Dr. Korman is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Osseointegration, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Seattle Study Dental Group, and American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. He developed a cosmetic and prosthetic technique, which was published in the prestigious international Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry. He frequently presents this technique and other cosmetic and restorative dental techniques at dental academy meetings and dental schools, locally and nationally.
Dr. Korman resides in Virginia Beach, VA with his family. In his free time he enjoys aviation, practicing tai-chi and photography.
